DESIGNER: Kit Krozser
Kit Krozser is an archaeologist by trade, but an artist at heart. She grew up in northeast India, and the local glass beads and tribal silver that fascinated her as a child continues to inspire her today.
Seven years ago she discovered lampwork - the ancient Venetian technique of creating handmade glass beads. From the start she was drawn to the fusion of ancient with new, and the combination of science and chemistry in shaping and mixing molten glasses with the artistry of forming unique and colourful glass objects.
Kit also enjoys working with copper and silver. She loves the chemistry and colour of enamelling on copper and silver, and has also been exploring ancient chain making techniques.
Her pieces often reflect ocean themes and vibrant Caribbean colours, and draw inspiration from ancient Indian, Celtic, Etruscan, Greek and Aztec designs and craftmanship.
