My primary medium is chainmaille. I began by taking several classes and then honed my skills via tutorials and consultation with other chainmaillers. I work at increasing my repertoire by regularly learning new weaves (there are thousands!) I also teach others what I know both here in Regina as well as in the U.S (Texas). I have shared space with another designer at Jewelry Won and The Buds of May. I have also exhibited my work on line and at the RPS crafts and trade show in November. I do a fair amount of work on commission – my clients are local, as well as in NYC and Texas (San Antonio, Houston, Ft. Worth/Dallas and Austin area). |

I am Teresa Moxley and I live in Regina. Nine years ago I was at a conference and had the opportunity to attend a workshop that introduced the participants to precious metal clay. I was hooked. The following spring a took a weekend course in Sherwood Park, Alberta receiving my Instructor's Certificate, and from there began making my jewellery. I mainly concentrate on pendants but I have also made some earrings. What I enjoy the most is the versatility of working with the clay and the challenges it presents. I work with precious metal clay. I first learned of this medium at a teachers’ conference in Edmonton where a half-day session was offered to introduce participants to the versatility of the product. I was absolutely enthralled. I then enrolled in a three-day course in Sherwood Park, Alberta in 2009 at which time I learned the basics of working with metal clay and became a Certified Instructor. After moving to Regina I discovered Jewellery Won and participated in their shows. I have also taken Jewellery 1 at the Neil Balkwell Centre. I strive to continually learn and evolve with my creations and skills. I hope to be able to contribute to the Guild through ideas, and encouragement to fellow jewellers within and outside of the Guild. I would love to discover other jewellers who work in precious metal clay. It is sometimes lonely out there. |

Hello, my name is Joanne Pelletier and I am the owner of Jewellery by Joanne, www.jewellerybyjoanne.ca I have been making jewellery for over 30 years and, as a retired educator, I can devote my time to creating and selling beautiful things. In making my jewellery, I use a wide variety of quality materials, including seed beads, Swarovski components, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, art glass and sterling silver. One of the things I enjoy most about designing and making jewelry is the excitement of seeing the many parts come together, resulting in a distinctive and wearable piece of art. Thanks to my customers, my jewellery has travelled around the world, including Europe and United States.
I am not currently a member of other guilds or craft associations. I was on the board and a participated as a jewellery vendor for the Mid Summer’s Art Festival, an annual jewellery event takes place in Fort Qu’appelle. I look forward to contributing to the success of the Jewellery Artists Guild of Regina in whatever way I can. |

Myrna Bio
Jewellery handcrafted by Myrna Allan
I was raised in a small town in South West Saskatchewan. Following graduation I moved
to Regina to work with the provincial government. When I retired I knew that I wanted
to do something creative once again, so I enrolled in jewellery courses at Neil Balkwill
Civic Arts Centre. For the past ten years I have continued to learn and improve my skills.
I incorporate many of these acquired techniques and skills into my own Jewellery
designs.
Characteristically, my Jewellery is colourful, petite and delicate. Each piece is unique,
demonstrating simple line and form and no two are exactly the same. I apply many of the
silversmithing techniques using sterling silver, copper, brass, titanium and niobium to
design and create my Jewellery. I have always loved colour and I enjoy experimenting
and producing many colours which I incorporate into my designs.
Throughout the time at the studio I have met many wonderful people. It’s been a great
way to be creative and socialize at the same time. The social aspect of meeting other
creative people is just what I wanted to fulfill my retirement.
I hope you will enjoy wearing my Jewellery as much as I enjoy making and designing the
one of a kind pieces.
